The Southland Community
Associates of the Art Institute of Chicago invite the residents of the Southland
area to an Art and Music seminar on Tuesday, April 8, 2014. The program is
titled, "Spain in the Golden Age: Art and Music at a Cultural Crossroads".
This is presented by Jeff Nigro, art historian and lecturer. The program
celebrates the artistic achievements of Golden Age Spain and includes music from
this period.
The lecture begins at 11:00
a.m. in the Rubloff Auditorium at the Art Institute of Chicago. The cost
is $30.00 for non-members of the Community Associates. This does not
include the entrance fee to the Art Institute. The reservation period ends
Monday, March 24, 2014. Send checks to Jane Castle, 668 Karen Court,
Crete, IL 60417. The check is payable to the Art Institute of
Chicago.
An optional lunch follows
at the Cliff Dwellers Club, 200 S. MIchigan Avenue, with limited
reservations.
Cost for the lunch is $30.00 and cost for the program and lunch is
$60.00. Checks payable to the Art Institute and sent to Jane
