Homewood-Flossmoor banged out nine hits and scored seven runs. And, yet, it was not enough as the Vikings dropped an 8-7 decision to Lincoln-Way East in a recent Southwest Suburban Blue baseball matchup.

The Griffins scored the winning runs on Chris Scott's two-run homer in the bottom of the seventh. H-F starting pitcher Evan Nietfieldt worked 3.1 innings. He allowed four runs and struck out. Chris Michaels worked behind him in relief.
