Homewood-Flossmoor softball pitcher Sarah Burke is becoming known as a strkeout machine.

Burke fired a one-hitter and struck out 11 in the Vikings' recent 3-1 loss to Stagg, pushing her 'K' count for the season to 60 through April 11. But her work on the mound wasn't enough to overcome the Chargers and her counterpart, Lea LaSota, in a pitcher's duel.
