Homewood-Flossmoor's boys lacrosse team hit the L-W co-op squad hard during a recent 13-3 victory at L-W North.

One of the newest sports played in the Southwest Suburban Conference is lacrosse. It's a combination of soccer, hockey and football. While it's a spring sport, the conditions for a recent matchup of Homewood-Flossmoor vs. the Lincoln-Way co-op squad were more like that of late fall.

The temperature was cold. But H-F was red hot in a 13-3 victory. Senior Connor Szymanski scored four goals. Junior Ryan Walker added three goals and two assists. Senior Jeremiah Ross added one goal and one assist.

Viking coach Mark Thompson said seniors Brian Erman, Brandon Metoyer and juniors John Parish and Greg Knox led H-F's defense.
