Take a Walk in the Park, Help South Suburban Humane Society

The Bark Walk will take place Saturday, Sept. 27 at Irwin Park.

Pet owners looking for a way to spend some time with their furry friends this weekend are in luck, as an annual favorite is back.

South Suburban Humane Society’s Annual Bark Walk will be held Saturday, September 27, at Irwin Park in Homewood. Registration begins at 9 a.m. and the walk starts at 10 a.m.

The event includes lots of pet-friendly vendors, live music by MG Bailey, Mexican food truck, games, contests and raffles. Those who register to walk—$25 tax deductible donation to South Suburban Humane Society—get a free Bark Walk T-shirt and goodie bag. Registration is not required to enjoy the event, but it is appreciated as this is a fundraising event.
