Lanes of U.S. 30 at Governors Highway to Close July 13

Expect delays, as center and left lanes are set to close for resurfacing.

The center and left lane in both directions of U.S. 30, between Governors Highway and just west of Orchard Drive, will be closed, weather permitting, beginning on Monday, July 13. This will result in the two lanes being closed, with traffic allowed on the right lane only both eastbound and westbound. These lane closures are required to complete pavement patching. Much longer travel times should be anticipated approaching and traveling through the work zone. The center lanes are scheduled to be reopened in late July.

The work is a continuation of a project that began in June, to patch and resurface U.S. 30 between Cicero and Western avenues. In order to complete the work, lanes will be closed at various locations and times as the project progresses. Daytime lane closures are expected between Olympian Way and Western Avenue. Overnight work and weekend work should be expected.

The project is scheduled to be complete by this fall.
