U.S. 30 Lane Closures Near CN Railroad Crossing
If you're driving U.S. 30 through Lynwood, the lane closures will be in effect Oct. 20 to Oct. 24.

Westbound U.S. 30 in Lynwood will be reduced to one lane starting Monday, Oct. 20, at the CN Railroad crossing just west of the state line for the installation of temporary signals to warn traffic of approaching trains, according to IDOT. Both eastbound lanes will remain open while one westbound lane is closed from Monday, Oct. 20, until Friday, Oct. 24. The temporary signals will be in place to accommodate the work zone needed for construction of a new bridge carrying U.S. 30 over the CN Railroad tracks. The $29.6 million bridge project started this summer, with an anticipated completion date in late 2016.
