'The Voice' Cross Battles Begin: Time To Vote For Oliv Blu

FLOSSMOOR, IL — ‘The Voice’ made television history Monday night in the NBC sing-off’s new round, the Live Cross Battles. And what a battle it was. Flossmoor native Oliv Blu was chosen to sing against Celia Babini from Team Adam.

Oliv sang an emotional “Gravity” against Babini’s rendition of “A Thousand Years.” Shelton, who stole Oliv after she was eliminated by 16-year-old Kayslin Victoria, was praised Oliv for not over-singing and her vocal control.

Thirty-two competing artists from four different teams found out along with the rest of America when they would be called to the stage Monday evening in a sign-off from an opposing team member.

Now it’s America’s turn to vote. Viewers have until 6 a.m. Central Time to vote for hometown favorite Oliv Blu. She can use all the help we can give her. Viewers may vote online up to 10 times per artist per email address, during the voting window.

The survivors of Monday’s cross battle round will be announced Tuesday (7 to 8 p.m. CT) as the field whittles down to the Top 24. Coaches Blake Shelton, Kelly Clarkson, Adam Levine and John Legend each have a save and a steal to preserve an artist from being eliminated.

Fellow south suburbanite Abby Kasch, a Palos Park native, wasn’t called to the stage on Monday’s show but will definitely be on part two of live cross battle rounds next Monday, April 22.
