Liz's Mindful Mondays: Weekly Reflections + Inspiration from the Heart of Serendipity Yoga and Wellness

Dear Reader,

Welcome, Summer… and continued heatwave—because let’s be real, it’s giving toasty. If you’re feeling a little fried around the edges, start your morning with this simple grounding practice: place one hand on your heart and one on your belly. Take five slow, cooling breaths—in through your lips like you are drinking through a fat straw, out through your nose. Whisper to yourself, I am safe. I am present. I am at ease. It’s a gentle way to cool the nervous system and come back to the present—where your power lives, and where things usually feel a little less overwhelming (even when the sidewalk feels like lava).

With love and gratitude,
Liz

Try This | Balasana, or Child’s Pose, is a grounding posture that invites rest, surrender, and introspection by gently folding the body inward. To enter the pose, kneel on your bed or yoga mat, bring your big toes to touch, widen your knees, and gently lower your torso between your thighs, reaching your arms forward or alongside your body. This posture can soothe the nervous system, stretch the spine and hips, and encourage mindful breathing—offering a daily moment of stillness to reconnect with your breath and center yourself amid life’s demands.

How will you bring a little "chill" into your week?
