Woman and Child Saved From Flooded Homewood Viaduct

HOMEWOOD, IL - As Tuesday evening's storms destroyed structures and caused multiple fatalities in North Central Illinois, the Chicagoland area was hit with a significant amount of rain and hail.

In Homewood, that left at least one viaduct flooded. Cars could be seen stalled underneath.

WGN-TV shared a video of firefighters in the village rescuing a woman and a child who were in one of the cars that became stuck. The woman tried to drive through the viaduct but became stuck.
