Woman Killed in I-294 Crash Near Hazel Crest
A Naperville woman died after the late Sunday night incident near Plaza 43.
HAZEL CREST, IL - A late Sunday night crash on Interstate 294 near Plaza 43 in Hazel Crest took the life of a 49-year-old woman from Naperville.
Police identified the victim as Reshma Khan, 49, of the 2200 block of Palmer Circle in Naperville, according to a Chicago Tribune report. She was killed as a result of a crash in the northbound lanes around 11:15 p.m. when an SUV rear-ended a semi when it was trying to get around the truck.
The crash closed three lanes of the highway for about five hours.
