Charges Filed in Nail Salon Burglary

Three suspects face multiple counts of burglary.

Three people arrested in a break in at a nail salon were charged with burglary, Huntley police said Monday.

Jameil D. Houser, 25, of Chicago, is charged with two counts burglary, a Class 2 felony, possession of burglary tools, a Class 4 felony and misdemeanor theft, police said.

Xavier S. Oaks, 22, and Michelle Seawood, 26, both of Chicago, are each charged with two counts of burglary, according to police.

Huntley police were conducting surveillance on Julie’s Nails, 10428 Route 47, around 3:15am Sunday when Houser and Oaks were spotted breaking out the front window and entering the storefront, police said. The two attempted to take a television set, reports stated.

Both Houser and Oaks fled from the business out the rear door to the alley in the back of the shopping center, police said. Police chased the two and were later able to take them into custody at different locations. Houser and Seawood were taken into custody at a parking lot on Church Street, while Oaks was apprehended while he was walking on Route 47, police said.

This is the third time since March that Julie’s Nail Salon has been the victim of a burglary.  Huntley Police Detectives continued to investigate this incident and after reviewing evidence were able to charge Houser and Seawood with an April burglary at Julie’s Nail Salon, police said.  A March burglary is still under investigation.
