Community Steps Up For Centegra Hospital Project
Supporters of Centegra's plans to build a hospital at its Huntley campus plan a rally and transportation to state hearing.

Supporters of the proposed Centegra Hospital-Huntley project have planned a rally for Friday afternoon to show their enthusiasm for the project.
The rally is scheduled from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m. Dec. 2 at the campus, Algonquin and Haligus roads, where the hospital would be built if approved.
Centegra wants to build a hospital with a full-service emergency room, operating rooms, maternity area and doctors’ offices at the Huntley campus. Area hospitals, such as Sherman Hospital in Elgin, have opposed the proposal.

Supporters of Centegra’s plan have created a Facebook page to drum up support for the hospital. The Illinois Health Facilities and Review Board will decide upon the proposal Wednesday, Dec. 7, during a hearing at the Bolingbrook Golf Club.
The Facebook page, "Rally for a new hospital in Huntley,” states the rally will happen “snow or shine.” Group leaders hope residents carrying signs on the corner will display the community’s desire for a Huntley hospital.
