Fox Valley Theatre Company Holds Open Auditions

Attention budding actresses and actors, the Fox Valley Theatre Company is holding open auditions for the production of “Joseph And The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat."

Auditions for youth entering third grade through age 20 will be held from 6:30 to 9 p.m., June 26 and June 27 at the Visual and Performance Arts Center, on the main campus of Elgin Community College, 1700 Spartan Drive, Elgin.

From the creators of “Jesus Christ Superstar” and “Evita,” the Biblical saga of Joseph and his coat of many colors comes to vibrant life in this delightful musical parable.

Joseph, his father’s favorite son, is prophetic with dreams. When he is sold into slavery by his jealous brothers and taken to Egypt, Joseph endures a series of adventures in which his spirit and humanity are continually challenged.

Set to an engaging cornucopia of musical styles, from country-western and calypso to bubble-gum pop and rock ‘n’ roll, this Old Testament tale emerges both timely and timeless.
