The Early Music Ensemble continues its exploration of the works of Claudio Monteverdi with selections from his fourth and fifth books of madrigals, including Sfogava con le stelle to a text by the Florentine poet Rinuccini; M’è più dolce il penar per Amarilli to a text by Battista Guarini; and selections from the Missa in illo tempore based on Gombert’s motet of the same name.
