10 More Will County Coronavirus Deaths Reported April 23

Will County's Health Department also reported its youngest new coronavirus death so far: a man in his 20s.

JOLIET, IL — Thursday marked the first time in several days that Will County's Health Department reported at least 10 new deaths from the new coronavirus, including a man in his 20s. The young man's death marked the first time Will County has had anyone younger than 30 die from the illness.

Will County's number of coronavirus deaths now stands at 121.

Besides the Will County man in his 20s, the nine additional deaths involved a man in his 50s, three people in their 70s, three people in their 80s and two men in their 90s.

Will County's total number of coronavirus cases climbed by 79 from Wednesday, April 22. It now stands at 1,908.

Of the 121 deaths in Will County, a total six involved people younger than 50. There have been 12 deaths of people in their 50s, 22 deaths of people in their 60s, 26 deaths of people in 70s, 40 deaths of people in their 80s, 14 deaths of people in their 90s and one person who was more than 100 years old.
