Will County April 22 Coronavirus Update: Cases Back On Rise
Four more people from Will County have died from the new coronavirus, Will County's Health Department revealed Wednesday.

JOLIET, IL — Wednesday's number of new coronavirus cases in Will County nearly doubled from the number of new cases reported Tuesday. Health Department spokesman Steve Brandy said that Will County now has 1,829 coronavirus cases, an increase of 90 cases from the previous day.
On Tuesday, Brandy reported there were 1,739 cases, an increase of 46 cases from Monday.
The number of coronavirus deaths in Will County increased by four Wednesday to 111. The four latest deaths were two men in their 60s, a woman in her 80s and a man in his 90s.

The Will County Health Department also reports the following data for the three Joliet nursing home facilities where there has been a substantial coronavirus outbreak in recent weeks:

- Symphony of Joliet , 306 N. Larkin Ave., has had at least 91 coronavirus cases and 24 deaths.; 53 coronavirus cases involved residents of Symphony and 38 were employees. Will County health officials say they do not have any data on how many coronavirus deaths were nursing home residents versus employees. Joliet Patch has previously reported at least two employee deaths at Symphony of Joliet.
- Presence Villa Franciscan, 210 Springfield Ave., has had at least 41 coronavirus cases and seven deaths. Of the 41 cases, 35 were nursing home residents and six were staff. There have been no reports of employee deaths at Villa Franciscan.
- The PARC at Joliet, 222 N. Hammes Ave., has had at least 30 coronavirus cases and four deaths; of the 30 cases, 20 cases involved nursing home residents and 10 were staff. There have been no reports of employee deaths at The PARC of Joliet.
