Joliet's Bob Hernandez said several officers had their shields out because a suspect may have a gun.

JOLIET, IL — More than a dozen Joliet police cars converged upon the Larkin Village apartments to investigate a possible shooting. Joliet's Bob Hernandez got to the scene to produce one of his Facebook Live videos, which had more than 1,500 views and 66 shares as of 10 p.m.
Joliet police blocked off both entrances to the large apartment complex, one at Black Road and the other entrance from Larkin Avenue.
Hernandez said he saw multiple Joliet officers carrying ballistic shields, and that Joliet police at the scene told him there may be a suspect armed with a gun. An officer at the scene was trying to discourage people from entering the apartment complex, calling it a serious situation.
