2 Cocaine Dealers Arrested By Joliet Police: English

Joliet police secured arrest warrants on July 27 for Calvin Griffin, age 64, and Dermetrious Lindsey, age 35, for the drug-related charges.

JOLIET, IL — Bail has been set at $350,000 for 64-year-old Lockport resident Calvin Griffin and bail was set at $355,000 for 35-year-old Dermetrious Lindsey of Bourbonnais following their arrests by Joliet police in connection with cocaine-dealing charges.

Joliet police said Griffin was arrested on seven counts of delivery of a controlled substance while Lindsey was arrested on charges of delivery of a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance, a Will County arrest warrant and a Wisconsin Department of Corrections arrest warrant.

According to Joliet police spokesman Dwayne English, the following events led to the arrests:

  • Following a narcotics investigation in which Griffin and Lindsey were identified as suspects in the delivery of cocaine, Joliet police secured arrest warrants on July 27 for Griffin and Lindsey for the drug-related charges.
  • Griffin and Lindsey were taken into custody without incident on July 28 at 7:54 a.m. at a residence in the 200 block of Nobes Avenue in Lockport.
  • Lindsey was also processed on a Wisconsin Department of Corrections arrest warrant and a Will County arrest warrant for failing to appear in court on previous charges of obstructing identification.
