2 Guns Found After Essington Road Traffic Stop: Joliet Police
Stephen Orasco, age 30, was also cited for disobeying a traffic control device and Joliet police say his auto was towed from the scene.

JOLIET, IL — In the middle of the night, Joliet police arrested 30-year-old Stephen Orasco and his 19-year-old passenger Lete Parrow after their car drove through a red light at Essington and Fiday Roads, prompting Joliet police to recover two of their guns, arrest reports show.
On Tuesday, Orasco was booked into his cell at the Will County Jail on charges of aggravated unlawful use of a weapon, possession of a stolen firearm, unlawful possession of ammunition, no FOID and possession of cannabis.
His passenger, Parrow, was booked into county detention on charges of aggravated unlawful use of a weapon, unlawful possession of ammunition and having No FOID.

Joliet police spokesman Dwayne English outlined the following events leading up to the arrests:
- At 1:39 a.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on a Chevrolet Malibu near the 3000 block of Fiday Road for disobeying a traffic control device. While speaking to Orasco and Parrow, officers detected an odor of cannabis.
- Upon search of the vehicle, officers recovered a plastic bag containing cannabis. While further searching the vehicle, officers recovered two handguns and ammunition from a bag. One of the handguns was stolen.
- The stolen handgun and the cannabis belonged to Orasco. He was also cited for having disobeyed a traffic control device. His car was towed from the scene.
