2 Shot In Joliet, 2 Arrests Made After This Shooting: Joliet Police
Both victims were shot near the 900 block of Marion Street, according to Joliet police.

JOLIET, IL — The Joliet Police Department announced that two teenagers are facing criminal charges following Saturday night's shooting that left two people with gunshot wounds. First off, Devejuan Norris, 19, of Shorewood was booked into the Will County Jail on charges of possession of a stolen firearm and aggravated unlawful possession of a weapon.
Also, Jeremy Franklin, 18, of Joliet was arrested and released on a Notice to Appear for the crime of unlawful possession of ammunition.
During the investigation, it was learned that a 17-year-old boy with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound to the leg arrived at St Joseph Medical Center in a private vehicle. Both victims were shot near the 900 block of Marion Street, according to the Joliet police.

According to Joliet police spokesman Dwayne English:
At 10:22 p.m. on Saturday, the officers responded to the 900 block of Marion Street for shots fired. Officers conducted a traffic stop on a Chevrolet Cruz near West Jefferson Street and May Street after the vehicle was spotted quickly leaving the area. During the stop, the officers discovered an 18-year-old in the backseat with a gunshot wound to his left leg. Officers immediately provided medical aid until arrival of Joliet Fire Department paramedics.

The victim was transported to St Joseph Medical Center by ambulance with a non-life- threatening gunshot wound.
Franklin was identified as the driver and Norris was an additional passenger in the vehicle. Franklin held a suspended driver’s license. Norris was in possession of a gun firearm in his waistband, and he was also sitting on an additional handgun. One of the firearms was determined to be stolen, according to the press release.
Officers located ammunition in the vehicle following a search. Both were placed into custody without incident.
The shooting was believed to have occurred outside a residence in the 900 block of Marion Street. It was discovered that a nearby garage and an unoccupied vehicle had been struck by gunfire. Officers completed a full canvass of the area.
