20-Year-Old Prostitute Netted in Police Sting Was Found on Notorious 'Backpage' Website: Cops

The young woman from Sterling was selling herself for sex on the site Backpage, police said.

The 20-year-old prostitute collared in an Orland Park sting operation was advertising herself for sex on the website Backpage—the same site used by one hooker charged with murdering a Catholic high school teacher and another allegedly slain by a man who met her for sex, and also reportedly visited by the Indiana man suspected of murdering seven women.

Taylor Franque, of the tiny western Illinois town of Sterling, was arrested at the Homewood Suites in Orland Park.

Francque’s trouble with the law started when a deputy with the Cook County Sheriff’s Department vice unit called the number on a Backpage advertisement and “spoke to a woman calling herself Ashley,” according to a police report.

The deputy “asked ‘Ashley’ if she was available for a full service,” the report said, “full service being a street term commonly used to refer to sexual intercourse.”

The woman agreed to a $200, hour-long “outcall date” at the Homewood Suites, police said, and texted when she got there to find out what room to go to.

When she got inside, the deputy “retrieved $200 (cash) and Francque told (him) to place the money on the bed,” police said. The deputy “did so and Francque began to undress.”

That’s when the deputy opened the door and officers from the Tinley Park, Orland Park and Cook County Sheriff’s departments burst in to arrest her.

And an Indiana man suspected of killing seven women is believed to have used an online prostitution service lure at least some of them to their deaths. One of 43-year-old Darren Vann’s victims was found after he apparently solicited prostitution services through Backpage, the Chicago Sun-Times reported.
