22 Coronavirus Deaths At Joliet Nursing Home: Report

JOLIET, IL — The number of deaths at one Joliet nursing home from the new coronavirus continues to skyrocket, according to WJOL, AM-1340. The radio station reported Wednesday afternoon that 22 people at Symphony of Joliet on North Larkin Avenue had died from the illness.

On April 7, Joliet Patch reported that Symphony of Joliet had three coronavirus deaths, including one of its employees.

According to WJOL's Wednesday report, a total of 37 nursing home residents have tested negative for the coronavirus and been moved to other nursing homes operated by the Symphony of Care Network. The company runs more than two dozen nursing homes in Illinois and Indiana.

Joliet Patch has reached out to the Symphony of Care Network for comment about the situation at its Joliet nursing home.
