3 More Shooting Victims On Joliet's East Side, Lockport Area
The Will County Sheriff's Office is investigating two separate shootings from Tuesday night, one on Washington Street, the other on Nobles.

JOLIET, IL — An 18-year-old man was airlifted from Silver Cross Hospital to Loyola Medical Center in Maywood after being shot in the chest around 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, the Will County Sheriff's Office said.
The incident, on Joliet's East Washington Street, was one of two separate shootings that Will County police investigated Tuesday night which left three people injured, including the teenager whose gunshot wound was deemed to be life-threatening.
The Will County shootings are in addition to two separate homicides being investigated by the Joliet Police Department, also on Tuesday night. One shooting death occurred in the 700 block of Francis Avenue near Henderson Avenue; police said 47-year-old Floyd Faint Sr. was fatally shot in his driveway . The other gunshot death took place in the 300 block of Grant Avenue near Union Street. Police have not released the name of the Grant Avenue homicide victim.

Less than one hour after Faint was shot in Joliet, sheriff's deputies responded to the 5:30 p.m. shooting of the 18-year-old man near Washington Street and Park Avenue, an area outside city of Joliet limits patrolled by county police. The victim told sheriff's deputies he was shot after being chased by a van.
Minutes later, county investigators learned that a 17-year-old boy was also shot in the left hand in the same area. The 17-year-old boy told county investigators that he was walking along Washington Street when a vehicle pulled up and someone shot him. The 17-year-old shooting victim was not cooperative with police and was taken by ambulance to Silver Cross, authorities said.

Will County sheriff's deputies say they recovered a shotgun from the Ingalls Park area of Joliet Township where the shootings occurred. Video surveillance recordings from area businesses are being reviewed in hopes of identifying the Washington Street gunman.
Then, around 6 p.m., sheriff's deputies responded to another shooting, on Nobles Avenue in Lockport Township.
The 44-year-old shooting victim told sheriff's deputies he was unloading groceries when someone drove by and fired several gunshots at the house.
The Lockport Township victim told police he did not get a description of the vehicle involved in the drive-by shooting, according to police.
Will County sheriff's deputies ask that people who may have information related to either of Tuesday night's shootings call the investigations unit at 815-727-8574.
