The attack of the 25-year-old Joliet prisoner happened Aug 13 inside Will County's Adult Detention Facility.

JOLIET, IL — Five inmates who are living in the Will County Jail now face additional charges as a result of their role in last week's attack against 25-year-old Joliet inmate Kendall Guyton, according to the Will County State's Attorney's Office of Jim Glasgow.
Aggravated battery charges, mob action and criminal damage to government property, all felonies, have been filed against co-defendants Malik Elam, Malik M.L. Garfield, Darion C. McMillian, Dieontae Sparks and Nikolaus Daishonn Vaughn in connection with the Aug. 13 attack inside the Will County Jail, 95 South Chicago St.
The criminal complaint against the five men states they "knowingly and without legal justification ... caused great bodily harm to Kendall Guyton in that said defendants struck Kendall Guyton about the body."
