The Joliet Township District 204 administrator faces a felony aggravated DUI because he has two prior DUI citations.

JOLIET, IL - A criminal complaint has been filed against Joliet Township High School District 204 administrator Alberto Filipponi in connection with the 39-year-old man's latest DUI arrest over the weekend. Court records put on file Thursday at the Will County Courthouse show that Joliet Township's curriculum director faces one felony charge of aggravated driving under the influence and one misdemeanor charge of obstructing a peace officer. It's the Joliet school official's third DUI arrest.
On October 7, Illinois State Police troopers pulled over a Hyundai Elantra driven by Filipponi along Interstate 55 in Plainfield Township. According to the complaint, Filipponi "knowingly obstructed the performance of Benjamin Briddell ... being the investigation of Alberto Filipponi, knowing Benjamin Briddell to be a peace officer engaged in the execution of his official duties, in that the defendant refused to exit a vehicle despite being ordered to do so."
Ultimately, the Illinois State Police was able to remove Filipponi from the car. Officers put him in handcuffs and delivered him to the Will County Adult Detention Facility. Jail logs show that Filipponi posted bond on Monday.
