JOLIET, IL —The Joliet Police Department issued a Facebook alert notifying everyone that all lanes of South Chicago Street, better known as Route 53, are shut down for a crash.
Some of the Facebook public safety police scanner sites relayed that it involved a motorcycle being hit by a vehicle. It happened around 7 a.m.
Joliet police noted that all lanes of Route 53 are currently closed between West Breen Road and West Noel Road as officers investigate a traffic crash.
"Further details will be provided when the roadway is reopened," Joliet police noted.
