JOLIET, IL — If you pay attention to Joliet Patch crime stories, you may remember last week's arrest of a 44-year-old suspected drug dealer during a raid at his house in the 2500 block of River Bend Lane, off Caton Farm Road in the Plainfield area.

Turns out, Joliet police made a separate arrest a couple of days later in the exact same area, this time, a guy from Georgia.

According to Joliet police spokesman Dwayne English, at 4:14 p.m. on Sunday, officers responded to the 2500 block of River Bend Lane for a report of a suspicious vehicle parked in the area for an extended period of time.

Upon arrival, the officers located a Dodge Durango parked on the roadway and made contact with the male driver. The driver initially declined to identify himself and indicated that he did not require police assistance.

During further investigation, the officers determined that the driver was the registered owner of the vehicle, identified as Torey Harris, 37, of Fayetteville, Georgia. Officers also learned that Harris had an active arrest warrant from Chicago for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

English said that as the officers continued their investigation, Harris drove away from the area. Officers conducted a
traffic stop, and Harris was taken into custody without incident. Harris was processed on the outstanding warrant and transported to the Will County Adult Detention Facility. The jail records listed Harris as being a temporary hold for the Chicago Police Department.
