JOLIET, IL — Joliet Patch has produced news stories about the ongoing plight of Joliet Police Lt. Jeremy Harrison as well as an undisclosed Channahon police officer in regard to allegations of using their respective agency's FlOCK camera license plate reader system.
On Monday morning, Joliet Patch confirmed that issue with FLOCK cameras has just arisen at the Will County Sheriff's Office.
When asked about the matter, Sheriff's Office Spokeswoman Eliazbeth Matthews responded with the following press statement:
"The Will County Sheriff's Office holds its employees to the highest standards of professionalism and integrity, expecting each member to uphold the policies, values and standards of conduct of the Office while serving our community with dedication and respect," Matthews began. "On Friday, 08/28/2026, a Will County Sheriff's deputy was placed on administrative leave pending the outcome of an internal affairs investigation regarding potential policy violations. The subject matter of the alleged policy violations remains under investigation. Additional information will be released when appropriate and when doing so will not compromise the integrity of the ongoing investigation."
