Richard B. "Rick" Smith, 47, passed away peacefully at home with his wife by his side, Tuesday, May 29, 2012.
Survived by his loving wife of 19 years, Judy Smith; a son, William Sossong; and a daughter, Kelly (Don) Voitik; two grandchildren, Donnie and Gracie Voitik; his father and mother-in-law, Charles and Dot Arwood; his stepmother, Barbara Smith; three sisters, LuAnn (Brian) Talsma, Deana (Michael) Kinzler and Christina (Casey) Cherry; A brother, Steven (Tony) Lantz; and a brother-in-law, Walter Paisley; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends also survive.
Preceded in death by his parents, C. Deane Smith and Mary Coleman Smith; a sister, Cindy Paisley; and his beloved uncle, Don Day.

Memorial services will be at the Carlson-Holmquist-Sayles Funeral Home 2320 Black Road, Sunday, June 3, 2012 at 1:00PM. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Joliet Area Community Hospice or RML Specialty Hospital, 5601 S. County Line Road, Hinsdale, IL 60521 will be appreciated. Visitation Sunday from 11:00 A.M. until services.
