Another Michael Nelson Arrest By Joliet Police: This Time On Jefferson

Joliet police ordered Michael Nelson to leave the property at 1112 Jefferson Street numerous times, to which he refused, authorities said.

JOLIET, IL — A 57-year-old Joliet man continues to have confrontations and violent outbursts across the city of Joliet, prompting the latest arrest for Michael Nelson to take place at the Mi Vape Company on West Jefferson Street, according to Joliet police.

Nelson was taken away from the business last Wednesday afternoon in handcuffs, charged with criminal trespass to real property.

At 4:10 p.m. officers were called to the Mi Vape Company, 1112 Jefferson Street, for an unwanted person.

"Officers encountered Nelson in the parking lot," police spokesman Dwayne English notified Joliet Patch. "Officers learned that Nelson was intoxicated and was acting belligerent to employees and customers at the shopping plaza."

English said the officers ordered Nelson to leave the property numerous time, to which he refused. Nelson was placed into custody.

After being processed at the downtown police station, Nelson got released on an I-bond, according to police reports.

This marks at least the fourth arrest for Nelson that Joliet Patch has written about since June. In one of the other cases, Joliet Patch reported that officers arrested a 57-year-old man who was causing problems at the Chicago Street Pub, according to police reports.

At 11:50 p.m. Friday, Joliet cops went to Chicago Street Pub, 75 N. Chicago St., for a disturbance outside the bar. Michael Nelson, 57, was arrested at the Chicago Street Pub, on charges of disorderly conduct.

In late June, while people were at the Advance Auto Parts store at 454 Cass Street, 57-year-old Michael Nelson was exposing himself in the parking lot, and then he urinated on the wall of the business in view of several customers, according to Joliet police reports.

Joliet police were called to the scene, and they took Nelson into custody, charging him with disorderly conduct.
