Artwork Exhibited at Joliet Junior College

JCA students' artwork on display at JJC.

Excellence in education is a hallmark and tradition at Joliet Catholic Academy. Striving for excellence in and out of the classroom is second nature to Angels and Hilltoppers.

JCA is pleased to announce seniors, Jacob Elliott, Mimi Ernst and Alison Kinsella will have art pieces on display at the Joliet Junior College Area High School Art Exhibition.

Elliott’s pendant made from nickel silver, brass and cord will be featured.

Ernst will have a scratchboard drawing exhibited.

At this year’s exhibit, 103 works from 21 high schools were submitted. From this group of works, JJC Studio Art faculty members selected 20 students to be recognized for outstanding achievement. Hilltopper Jacob Elliott was one of the students selected to receive an Award of Excellence for his metal piece.

JJC’s Area High School Art Exhibition, scheduled for December 1-12, will take in the Laura A. Sprague Gallery at Joliet Junior College. The gallery is open Monday – Friday from 8 a.m. until 8 p.m. Contact Joliet Junior College’s Fine Arts Department for more information at (815) 729-9020.
