BBQ Restaurant Opening On Joliet's Theodore Street

JOLIET, IL - A new barbecue restaurant will be opening soon at the strip mall near the intersection of Theodore Street and Essington Road. Taps Tips Smoked Ribs & Chicken has two banners draped across a storefront at Duckcreek Plaza, 3101 Theodore St.

The new restaurant on Joliet's west side will be opening behind the Thorntons gas station on Essington. It's next door neighbor will be Brightdogs.

"Kings of BBQ, homemade slides, ice cold beer, wine and spirits," one of the Taps Tips signs reads.

When Joliet Patch stopped by on Monday afternoon, however, no one was around to answer questions about the pending grand opening.

For now, all we can report is that Taps Tips BBQ Smokehouse is "coming soon."
