Big and Rich, 'The Voice' Winner Join Country Lineup for Taste of Joliet

The Joliet Park District on Thursday announced this year’s Saturday country music lineup for the 2015 Taste of Joliet, set for June 26 to June 28 at Joliet Memorial Stadium, 3000 Jefferson St.
Country music superstars Big & Rich will be the Saturday night headliner, hitting the stage at 9 p.m.

“Big & Rich have produced two #1 albums and fifteen top 40 songs, including ’Save a Horse, Ride a Cowboy,’ ‘Lost in This Moment’ and current hit ’Look at You,’” the park district said in a press release.
Other Saturday night country performers include Parmalee, Danielle Bradbery, Joel Crouse and Ruthie Collins.

Parmalee, performing at 7 p.m., has two current hit songs in rotation, ”Close Your Eyes” and ”Feels Like Carolina,” which hit No. 2 on the country charts.
Danielle Bradbery, who won season four of NBC’s “The Voice” as a member of country star Blake Shelton’s team, was named the 2014 New Artist of the Year at the Taste of Country awards. Her self-titled album reached No. 5 on the country charts. Bradbery is set to perform at 5:30 p.m.
Joel Crouse, performing at 4:15 p.m., was just named in Top 10 Artists to Watch by Rolling Stone. His debut album reached No. 20, and he was selected to sing the national anthem for the New England Patriots playoff game on Jan. 10.
Ruthie Collins’ debut album was released on Dec. 16, with lead single “Ramblin’ Man” gaining airplay nationally. Collins is scheduled to perform at 3 p.m. Sunday.
Cheap Trick has been announced as the headliner for Friday night, the first night of the 2015 Taste of Joliet. Sunday’s entertainment lineup has yet to be announced.

Kids age 11 and under are admitted free. Admission for seniors (age 62 and older) is $5 per day. Parking is free.
Celebrating a decade
This year marks the 10-year anniversary since the Taste of Joliet returned in 2006, park district organizers said.
The festival has grown every year, with more than 60,000 people in attendance in 2014.
The fest includes 25 food vendors, a kid zone and carnival.
