Boz Scaggs Books Rialto Performance

JOLIET, IL - Tickets go on sale in two days for another big name that will be playing at the Rialto Square Theatre this fall. The Boz Scaggs: Out of the Blues Tour 2018 visits Joliet at 8 p.m. Friday, November 2. Tickets begin at $52.50 and climb to $62.50 and $77.50. The VIP seats are $175 and $225. Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday, July 27.

According to the Rialto's marketing material, "It's appropriate that Boz Scaggs' new album is titled Out of the Blues since the blues is what first sparked his five-decade musical career. Each ticket purchase comes with a free digital download of his new album, Out of the Blues.

"Boz Scaggs joined the Steve Miller Band in 1967, performing on the albums Children of the Future and Sailor, before launching his solo career in 1968. Scaggs continued to mine a personalized mix of rock, blues, and R&B influences, along with a signature style of ballads on such influential '70s albums as Moments, Boz Scaggs & Band, My Time, Slow Dancer and Silk Degrees. The latter release became a massive commercial breakthrough, reaching Number Two and remaining on the album charts for 115 weeks."

It spawned three Top 40 hit singles: "It's Over," "Lido Shuffle" and the Grammy-winning "Lowdown." Silk Degrees was followed by the albums Down Two Then Left and Middle Man, and such hit singles as "Breakdown Dead Ahead," "Jo Jo" and "Look What You've Done to Me."
