Braidwood Woman Had Crack Cocaine In Joliet: Cops
Joliet Police officers transported this 39-year-old woman to the Will County Jail.

JOLIET, IL - A 39-year-old Braidwood resident now finds herself lodged in downtown Joliet at the Will County Adult Detention Facility after Joliet Police say she had crack cocaine and a glass pipe used to smoke the illegal drug. Kelly Devalois was booked into county detention around 2:30 a.m. Thursday. She was charged with possessing drug equipment and possessing controlled substances.
According to Joliet Police reports, Devalois was arrested at 1:30 a.m. near the intersection of Richards and Washington Streets, on the city's east side.
"Officers observed a tan Buick traveling in front of (their) squad car, where the driver and passenger were not wearing seat belts. Officers initiated a traffic stop and met with the driver who identified herself as Kelly Devalois. The passenger stated he did not have any identification on his person," the police said.

Eventually, the Braidwood woman and her male companion stepped out of the car.
"On searching Kelly, officers located a glass pipe commonly used to smoke crack cocaine and a metal container containing clear plastic bags with suspected crack cocaine. The suspected cocaine was tested and came back positive," Joliet Police reports reflect.

Jail logs indicate that Devalois' bail was set at $15,000, and early Friday morning she posted 10 percent of her bond to get out of the Will County Jail.
