Burglars Target Metro Grill: Joliet Police Arrest 2 Chicagoans
Multiple slot machines were pried open, a cash register was damaged and the two burglars tried to pry open an ATM, police said.

JOLIET, IL — An overnight break-in at the Metro Bar and Grill on Essington Road resulted in the arrests of two burglary suspects who come from Chicago, Joliet police spokesman Dwayne English announced.
The crime happened around 3:20 a.m. Wednesday. The two men who got arrested are Antonio Baughns, 39, and Kentheney Moore, 41.
Baughns and Moore were put into the Will County Jail on charges of burglary, resisting arrest, criminal property damage, possessing burglary tools and theft of a coin operated machine.

According to English, Joliet officers were called to 2019 Essington Road for a burglary in progress.

"Officers noted that it appeared someone had forced entry into the business by damaging the front door," English said. "Officers set up a perimeter after observing Baughns and Moore inside of the business near the slot machines."

Baughns and Moore tried to run from Joliet police through the front door, and both were quickly taken into custody without further incident, English announced.
Multiple slot machines had been pried open; a cash register was damaged, and there was an ATM that the two burglars attempted to pry open, Joliet police noted. Officers recovered multiple tools used in the commission of the burglary from within the restaurant.
Bail hearings at the Will County Courthouse were set for Thursday afternoon for Moore and Baughns.
