Car Stolen From World Kia, 3 Arrested By Joliet Police
Will County Sheriff's deputies spotted a stolen Mitsubishi Outlander that was occupied by two men and one woman on Joliet's near west side.

JOLIET, IL — Nearly three weeks after a vehicle was stolen from the World Kia dealership at 2525 West Jefferson Street, Joliet police made three arrests in connection with the crime.
On Tuesday night, Joliet police hauled away Nakienae Caruth, 36, in handcuffs on charges of possessing a stolen vehicle and obstructing a peace officer. Caruth also had warrants out for his arrest from the Illinois Department of Corrections, as well as a Will County warrant.
In addition to Caruth, Joliet officers arrested Ivan Davis, who is a convicted Joliet area pimp who has been the subject of several Joliet Patch articles in the past. Davis was booked into the jail on charges of obstructing a peace officer and having a Will County warrant.

The third person arrested was 26-year-old Joliet resident Emily Watkins. She was arrested and released on an I-bond on charges of obstructing a peace officer.

According to Joliet police spokesman Dwayne English, the following events happened Tuesday night:

Officers were called to Western Avenue and Center Street around 9:15 p.m. to help the Will County Sheriff's deputies who found a stolen Mitsubishi Outlander occupied by two men and a female.
The three people in the stolen vehicle, Caruth, Davis and Watkins, all ran from the vehicle when Joliet police arrived at the scene.

Officers captured Caruth in the 400 block of Buell Avenue, and that's police learned that Caruth held an active Will County warrant for failing to appear in court for theft charges, and he had a no-bond Illinois Department of Corrections warrant.
Joliet officers used a police dog to search for the other two.
Davis was captured in the 300 block of North Hickory Street, and he faced an active no bond Will County arrest warrant for failing to appear in court for drug charges.
As for Watkins, officers learned that she was near West Jefferson Street and Clement Street, and that's where she was placed into custody without incident.
Throughout the investigation of this incident, it was learned that Caruth had stolen the vehicle from World Kia on June 3, English noted.
