Police are asking for help in identifying the suspects.

JOLIET TOWNSHIP, IL — The Will County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help in identifying two men who allegedly committed an armed robbery at a Mobil gas station early Sunday morning.

Police say at around 3:45 a.m. two men entered the Mobil at 1600 New Lenox Road in Joliet Township and committed an armed robbery.

The men were able to gain entry behind the counter, open two registers and take an undisclosed amount of cash. The suspects also stole five cartons of Newport cigarettes and several hats that were on a rack. The male clerk was pushed to the ground and told he would be shot if he moved. He was then pushed into a back room where he was told not to call the police. The man was not injured and refused medical treatment.
