In honor of World Snake Day, the Forest Preserve District of Will County will be heading outdoors for a Facebook Live adventure and getting up close and personal with these slithering creatures.

Tag along on this virtual trek with Becky Blankenship, the Forest Preserve’s wildlife ecologist, as she checks nearly a dozen coverboards for slithering snakes. What will be found? That's anyone's guess, because wildlife is unpredictable. However, at this preserve Forest Preserve staff recently found evidence of an 8-foot-long bullsnake while checking coverboards.

Recreation coordinator Jen Guest will also be on hand to help educate viewers about snakes while fielding questions from viewers.
