City Tavern Fight: Man From Hickory St. Faces Felonies
Joliet police have obtained a bench warrant to take Jerry Patton away in handcuffs. He turns 36 years old next week.

JOLIET, IL — A Joliet man who turns 36 years old next week is now wanted by the Joliet police following a fight that happened in July at the Joliet City Tavern at 1329 West Jefferson St. A bench warrant has been issued for the detention of Jerry Leon Patton III, who lives in the 0 to 100 block of South Hickory Street.
Will County Judge Victoria Breslin has set bail at $125,000 for Patton, who has not been taken into custody as of Thursday evening.
According to the complaint, Patton is charged with two counts of aggravated battery and one count of disorderly conduct.

Patton "without legal justification ... caused great bodily harm" to a Joliet man by striking the man in the head" while the victim was at Joliet City Tavern, on July 16, court document show.
Inside City Tavern, on July 16, Patton "made statements" about a specific woman's sexuality, "and threatened physical harm in such unreasonable manner as to alarm or disturb ... (her) and to provoke a breach of the peace," the complaint indicated.

Patton is listed on the bench warrant as being 6-foot-5, 240 lbs, with brown hair and blue eyes. He has a tattoo on his right leg and a tattoo on his right ankle.
