• 8th Floor Shooter On Western Avenue Captured By Joliet Police, This Is What Led To His Arrest: Cops (patch.com) — Joliet residents are learning more about a serious shooting at an apartment building on Western Avenue, where a 53-year-old man was critically injured after being shot on the eighth floor. Police say they arrested 35-year-old Antonio Sims of Joliet at the scene, later recovering a stolen handgun and suspected cocaine from his unit, and prosecutors have approved multiple felony charges as the investigation continues.
