Coronavirus Deaths In Will County Reach 86

The Will County Health Department's latest data includes a man in his 30s.

JOLIET, IL — The Will County Health Department now reports at least 86 deaths from the new coronavirus. The latest data includes a man in his 30s. Will County now has had two people in their 30s die as a result of the coronavirus this month.

Last week, a woman in her 30s died from the illness.

Wednesday's latest totals from Will County's Health Department reported 12 additional deaths, however, health department spokesman Steve Brandy indicated that one woman in her 80s who was classified as a coronavirus death has been removed from the list because medical experts now believe her death was attributed to other factors.

On Tuesday, Will County reported 75 coronavirus deaths. As of Wednesday evening, the number reached 86. Earlier Wednesday, Patch reported the Symphony of Joliet nursing home on Larkin Avenue has had more than 20 deaths attributed to the coronavirus.

Will County's total number of coronavirus cases increased by 75 to 1,440 Wednesday. The day before, the number was 1,365.
