Creepy Trinity Christian Teacher Becomes Registered Sex Offender

JOLIET, IL - A Trinity Christian School teacher in his fifties who met up with a 13-year-old girl at the Panera Bread in Joliet, rubbed her thighs and sent her several seductive text messages in 2017 is no longer incarcerated. On April 20, Lemuel Elechicon of Crest Hill appeared before Will County Judge Dave Carlson after pleading guilty to a felony offense of grooming under a plea agreement.

Online court records show Elechicon was given 30 months of probation and also a 180-day jail sentence plus fines and court costs. However, after spending six days in the Will County Jail, the court suspended the inmate's period of incarceration.

"Remaining 172 days sentence to jail are stayed; defendant to be released from custody this date. Probation to monitor. Defendant remanded to be released," online court filings show.

Elechicion, however, is required to register for the next 10 years as a sexual offender. Prior to his sentencing, Elechicon was evaluated by behavioral professionals and deemed to be a low-risk to re-offend.

At 4 p.m. April 25, Elechicon was turned loose from the Will County Jail.

Former Joliet Patch Editor Joseph Hosey wrote an extensive story about Elechicon, who taught at the Christian school in Shorewood. Hosey reported that Elechicon's Educator Pages page, which is no longer active, said he was born in the Philippines and came to America with his family when he was in the sixth grade.

"By faith, Christ saved me from my sins when I was in high school," Elechicon said on his page. Elechicon's page said he attended Bible school in Iowa, that he has worked in "Christian school ministry" for 26 years and was in his 12th year at Trinity Christian School.

He is no longer on the staff at Trinity Christian School as a result of his crime.

In one of the text messages, Elechicon wrote:

• Every minute I spend with you, every detail about you...I fall in love with you more and more. I dont ever take anything you say as wrong. That's what I love about you, you're direct and honest. I was laughing at what you said about gifts and what you do if you dont like it. I agree! Feel the same way. I wish your parents were friends with us like the (the name of another family). Your mom talks alot with Mrs. E. I enjoy talking with your dad. I wish it was more so we can do things together. But I know we have to do stuff with others so we can protect us. Again, plz ask (name) to see if you guys can get together so we can be together. (Heart) Believe me I am jealous of people when they get to spend time with you and I can't. I really wnat to hold your hands again. It was so soft, yet firm. It was warm and we started sweating which was so romantic. I enjoyed rubbing your thighs. I told you those soccer thighs are so firm. I hope you liked it. I want to touch your lips again. I changed my screen to the picture above. You are so beautiful. Did you use make-up? (thumbs up) Just so you know, you are so beautiful. You don't need extra stuff...you're naturally beautiful. I'm dying.

The Illinois State Police sex offender registry now lists Elechicon on its website, but some of the information is not reliable. For instance, State Police say the victim was 14, rather than 13, and there is no photo of Elechicon posted on the public sex offender website.

Elechicon lives at 2307 Greengold St. in Crest Hill, the website and the county jail logs stated.
