Crest Hill Police Bust Driver For 5th DUI: Complaint

JOLIET, IL - A 58-year-old man who lives on 72nd Street in Chicago has remained locked away from society in the Will County Jail following his latest arrest on charges of drunken driving. Court records indicate that Francisco Valencia currently faces his fifth violation for DUI.

The criminal complaint at the Will County Courthouse charges Valencia with two counts of aggravated driving under the influence and one count of aggravated driving while license is suspended. The events leading to his arrest happened on June 27.

"Said defendant, while under the influence of alcohol, drove or was in actual physical control of … a Dodge Dakota upon Route 53 in Crest Hill at a time when his driving privileges were revoked … " the complaint outlines.

Will County's judicial system has been informed that Valencia's prior DUI convictions resulted from the following dates:

  • Feb. 16, 2004 in Lake County
  • March 6, 2007 in Will County
  • January 9, 2008 in Cook County
  • January 19, 2012 in Will County

"Said violation being the defendant's fifth violation," the June 28 complaint states.

A judge set Valencia's bail at $50,000, but he remains in the jail, unable to post 10 percent, jail records indicate.
