D’Arcy Mitsubishi Opens In Joliet: 'They Have A Great Product'

JOLIET, IL — The latest addition to the D’Arcy Auto Group is D’Arcy Mitsubishi or D’Arcy Mit-Sue-Bee-She as it was announced in a video series on Facebook. D’Arcy has been a familiar name to Joliet and its surrounding communities for over 30 years. Their reputation goes beyond selling and servicing cars, D’Arcy is also known for their support of numerous events and organizations in the area.

Nick D’Arcy is the store’s dealer principal, and he was also the star of the videos back in December when the announcement was being made through four cryptic posts. The videos depicted Nick receiving the following mysterious items: baseball mitt, Sue Bird jersey, jar of honey, and She-Ra action figure. The jar of honey represented the word “Bee” and Nick eventually worked out the puzzle to reveal D’Arcy Mit-Sue-Bee-She would be coming soon.

It opened in January at the former D’Arcy Hyundai on Jefferson Street in Joliet.

D’Arcy Hyundai moved into a brand-new building in October of last year and is now located next to D’Arcy Buick GMC on Essington.

Nick D’Arcy is thrilled with this growth and opportunity for D’Arcy Motors. “I’m very excited about Mitsubishi. They have a great product with an incredible warranty, and they are the most inexpensive option on the market. I think that is what a lot of customers are looking for right now, reliability and affordability.”

Nick is also excited about his role as dealer principal.

“We want to make the car buying process fun and not so daunting. We knew the videos were a little off the wall, but we want to separate ourselves from other stores and let people know we don’t take ourselves too seriously. Previous customers of D’Arcy will recognize some faces at the new Mitsubishi Store.

Diego Rivera and Mark Hardman both worked at Buick GMC and are now the general manager and sales manager, respectively. Brian Deutsch is the store’s service manager and worked previously at both D’Arcy Chevy and D’Arcy Buick GMC.
