'Despicable Human Being' From Joliet Has Sentence Upheld: Glasgow
"Davis is a despicable human being who preyed upon this young boy for his own sexual gratification," State's Attorney Glasgow said.

JOLIET, IL — The Will County State's Attorney's Office of Jim Glasgow issued a press release Wednesday announcing that Judge Vincent Cornelius denied a motion to reconsider his sentence for Jeffery Davis, 33 of Joliet.
On Monday, Davis was sentenced to 40 years in prison for two counts of predatory criminal sexual assault, Class X felonies. Davis pleaded guilty last December. The victim was between 7 and 9 years old at the time of the sexual assaults, which took place over a two-year period from 2013 and 2015, prosecutors noted.
“Davis is a despicable human being who preyed upon this young boy for his own sexual gratification.” Glasgow said in Wednesday's press release. “The 40-year sentence will never make this victim whole, but will ensure that Davis is off the streets as a dangerous child predator.”
