Dirty School Janitor Seeks Probation In Will County
Should Ryan Thompson get prison time or probation from Judge David Carlson?

JOLIET, IL - In March 2017, a janitor from Joliet employed at the Chaney Monge Elementary School was taken away in handcuffs and posed for his criminal mugshot. The Will County State's Attorney's Office charged Ryan M. Thompson, then 27, with six felony counts of unauthorized videotaping. Thompson was secretly videotaping eighth grade girls changing inside the locker room at his place of work. Lucky for Thompson, Will County's judicial system set a low bail for him, at $25,000. As a result, the Joliet man easily came up with the necessary 10 percent cash to bail himself out of jail just one day after his arrest.
Thompson, now 28, resides in the 1200 block of Oregon Street. But this month, Thompson will be back inside the Will County Courthouse on the fourth floor. He and criminal defense attorney, Nicole Sartori of Yorkville, will appear at Thompson's sentencing hearing set for 1:30 p.m. on Monday, April 23. Thompson is expected to ask the judge for leniency and give him a sentence of probation.
In January, under a plea agreement, Thompson pleaded guilty to a pair of Class 3 felony crimes of unlawful videotaping. Four other counts were dismissed under the arrangement.
