
JOLIET, IL - A 12-year-old child from Manteno was hospitalized this week after being attacked by three pit bulls while visiting a house in Joliet, according to WGN News. The attack occurred Tuesday, July 17 at a home on Timber Springs Drive, the station reported.
Justin Fabsits told WGN that the dogs attacked him after he tried to stop one of the pit bulls from attacking a 15-year-old girl who was also at the house.
“I thought I was going to die,” he told WGN News.

The Chicago television news station reported that Justin was hospitalized at Lurie Children's Hospital with multiple puncture wounds. The dog's owner was reportedly cited by Joliet Police and the dogs were subsequently impounded by animal control, WGN indicated.
