JOLIET, IL — Less than three months after the O'Charleys Irish Pub closed for good, the owners of Crybabies Tap are taking it over. At Tuesday night's meeting, Joliet City Council unanimously approved the liquor license transfer to Karen Talmadge, owner of Crybabies Tap on Joliet's east side, at 435 East Jackson St.

Councilwoman Jan Quillman said she had only one resident contact her who was opposed to the liquor license transfer. After making her brief comments, Quillman joined her colleagues and voted for it.

Now, Talmadge will also own a west-side bar. Her new establishment at 117 North Center St. will be called Mid Town Tap.
